Preparing jumping
- Spring up with double leg from squat
- Long distance jump in space
- Long distance jump with a single leg
- Jumping with double legs in space (left- left touching the ground, right-right touching the ground)
- Five jumps on a single leg (left, left, left, left, left or right, right, right, right, right) then altering legs
- Teeter/seesaw: two children are swaying in front of each other while holding their hands, the board is ridden up and down by children at either end
- Hopping in squat position while merging each others’ arms and standing against the backs
- Star-like jump: springing up, shouting out with legs apart
- Two children hold each others’ arms while a third person tries to jump over it
- “Hopping snake” holding the partner’s hip without letting it off
- Hopping with double legs into both directions (perhaps up a hill)
- While hanging on wall bars children will kick a football back
- Monkey jump: squat on wall bars then jump onto the other one
- Jumping onto wall bars to and fro
- Hanging on wall bars while doing spring motions and movements with legs (thigh is horizontal)
- Springing up with double legs onto wall bars then trying to climb up higher and higher
- Hopping over a ball (be careful, do not jump on it)
- A ball is between ankles. While jumping up it should be caught
- Children are standing in a line. For a clap the second in the line runs forward holding a rope which should be jumped over by the other children. It is repeated several times.
- Jumping on a bench laid against wall bars at an angle (rabbit-, frog- jumps etc.). The degree of steepness can be changed depending on children’s skills
- Hopping on a bench, over it, from its one side to the other, up and down
- Springing up from squat position then jumping onto a vaulting box and jumping down from it
- The previous exercise for several times
- Jumping down from a vaulting box on a sponge mat with a single leg, then double legs forward and backward. In the flying phase a half turn should be done around the longitudinal axis
- Hopping on a gymnastics stool onto, over down it with a single leg then double legs
- Hopping up and down on stairs (with double legs, legs wide open while altering legs)
- Jumping over lower blockages with different rhythms
- The previous exercises repeated with merged arms over the head
- Continuously altering legs in offensive position
- Offensive position, altering legs
