Co-operation

In martial arts strong relationships are indispensable between an athlete and his/her coach. It is one of the most important means of teaching and learning. The roles of teachers to prepare children to fight and endure pain are also crucial.

Several athletes’ successes and high achievements are known who could have better life due to their hard work and close relationship with their coach. Many times the family atmosphere of gym may mean much more support for athletes than their families. Muay Thai, for example, the cultural martial art of Thailand, has already helped children to stand out of deep poverty. These children would not have had any chance for a better life if they had not learned the techniques and methods of this sport.

A short film shows what we should mean by Muay Thai.

The roots of the meaning of education go back to the notions of growing, developing and enhancing. The aims of martial arts are the same, that is, to equip athletes with the following skills and abilities: ambition, self-awareness and co-operation etc.
