Games with throwing techniques

  1. Standing on hands- catch: children whose legs are in the air cannot be caught.
  2. Swinging from a rope onto a vaulting box.
  3. Rope-pulling.
  4. Pulling and pushing with a bar.
  5. Wrestling for a medicine ball in pairs.
  6. Rolling ball: group A try to hit the rolling ball of group B.
  7. One of the teams tries to catch the runners of the other team.
  8. One member of a pair throws the ball up high while the other member tries to hit it.
  9. Hunting ball: One of the hunters tries to hit the others. The one ho has been hit will also become a hunter. While serving the ball to each other they attempt to hit the other members of the team.
  10. Ball war: On both sides of a track there are teams. All the participating students hold a ball. They have to throw the ball against the other team members within a given time. The looser team have more balls.
  11. Serving the ball on end: team line up on both sides. The ball has to be thrown toward the other team so that they cannot catch it. Within each team the members can serve the ball only three times.
  12. In a circle: one team is inside a circle and the other one is outside it. The tem members who being outside of the circle attempt to hit as many students as they can who are inside the circle.
  13. Bombing: two teams are lined up in front of each other. In the middle there are one, two or three balls. Students of both teams try to hit these balls.
  14. Trying to target a hoop that hangs from a ring. It should be a competition
  15. Who can throw a ball over two stretched ropes?
  16. Wandering: when touching the ground the ball should be thrown. Who can get farther after three attempts?
  17. Targeting the ball in nature (with stone and pebbles etc.).
  18. Throwing the ball over trees, houses and bushes.
  19. A tower is built from stones. How many throws will be needed to demolish it?
  20. A team forms a circle. One of the team members throws the medicine ball high up into the air, meanwhile he/she shouts out a name. This person must catch the ball before it touches the ground. The one who fails to catch the ball will get minus points.
  21. On a command the medicine ball or a shot-put should be pushed high up carefully. Which of the balls touches the ground first?
  22. Throwing into a target: four children stand in a square, 10-15 meters far from one another. There are two members of each team. They start throwing the balls so that they can hit the other teams’ balls. In two minutes they change roles. The team having more hits will get more points.
  23. Throwing into a target while moving: on circular track the target outside of the circle should be hit while running. The student who has thrown will run around the circle once more.
  24. Throwing into zones: the student who throws and pushes a ball the farthest will get a point.
  25. Stool and a ball: two teams throw a ball to each other and try to serve it to one of the team members who are standing on the top of two stools or vaulting boxes. One point is given to the child who catches the ball on the stools.
  26. Gaining points: two teams are trying to catch the ball without losing it. If the ball is dropped the game starts all over again (Murer, 2000).
  27. Playing tag: athletes hold each others’ hands while forming a circle. Two Indian clubs are placed in the middle of the circle. Meanwhile athletes push and toss each other to and fro and if one of the Indian clubs is turned over athletes will get penalty points.
