Games are the most effective and powerful tools of education. Besides its physiological effect it develops pedagogical and moral qualities without which it would be difficult to fit into any society. During games children learn to co-operate and work in groups and teams. Games as educational strategies have proved to be successful especially when children are made to get used to water. Games also develop to process knowledge and information.
The name of the game is: in line and exchanging balls

Phases of the game: one of the teams stand at one of the edges of the pool, the other team stand at the other edge. Children hold a ball in their hands, the first child in the row starts swimming across the pool and their hands are on the ball. It is repeated until the teams exchange the rows.
The winner team is the one whose members are the quickest.

Phases of the game: passing the ball within teams. The members of the other team must try to catch the ball and then they also pass the ball between each other. The aim of the teams is to catch the ball ten times so that the other team would not be able to do so. The winner is the team whose members can pass over the ball ten times first.
Variations
- the ball cannot be passed over to the same team member,
- players can touch each other and the ball cannot be passed over to the same team member.
The name of the game is: knocking out each other

Length of game: 10-30 minutes
Field of play: swimming pool
Tools: balls
Phases of the game: the swimming pool is divided into three parts, two teams are formed. Team members knock out each other. If the ball lands in the middle it should be caught. The students who are knocked out should leave the pool.
The game lasts until everyone has been knocked out.
The name of the game is: standing in straddle position and catch

Age: 8-12 years
Length of game: 5-10 minutes

Tools: band or swimming cap
The catcher is appointed and whom he/she catches he/she will have to stand in straddle position. The other can free him/her if they manage to swim between his/her legs.
The game lasts until everyone has stood in straddle position.

Phases of the game: one of the members of a team seats in the neck of a team member of the other team and they try to knock over each other. The winners are who have not been able to knock over.
Another version of this game is: pairs are divided into pairs and they fight against each other.
The name of the game is: getting the ribbon

Field of play: swimming pool with shallow water
Tools: ribbon
Phases of the game: there is ribbon fixed at the back of the swimming suit or trunks. Whose ribbon could be taken off then he/she will be the catcher.
The winner is the student whose ribbon could not be torn off.
Another version of this game is: everyone has a ribbon and the aim is to grab as many ribbons as students can within a given time. The winner is who has managed to grab more ribbons.
The name of the game is: catching in deep water

Field of play: swimming pool with deep water
Tools: ribbon
Phases of the game: the catcher swims in the pool with the aim of trying to catch the others. The student will be the catcher who has been managed to catch.
The winner will be who has not been caught.

Number of participants: 2 teams with 3+1 participants
Age: 10-14 years

Field of play: swimming pool with deep water
Tools: ball, caps, goal
Phases of the game: team with 3+1 participants play the game with a smaller ball than it is used in water polo. Participants play sets. Four members of the males’ team and 5 members of the females’ team can stay in the water at the same time. The number of substitutes can be max. 3. The match consists of two sets. Each set has 6 goals, but in case of females their set consists of 4 goals. The referee throws the ball onto the imaginary bisector. The team members try to grab the ball. The size of the pool is 14ҳ16 metres ҳ 10 ҳ 12 metres.
Another variation of the game: 5-5 or 10-10 students can play; the game time is 10-30 minutes. There are no rules.
The name of the game is: water hockey

Number of participants: 2ҳ6 members
Age: 12-14 years
Length of game: 2 ҳ15 minutes
Field of play: swimming pool with deep water
Tools: swimming pool, puck, hockey stick, goal
Phases of the game: 2 ҳ 15 meter large swimming pool with at least 2 metre deep water. A team has 10 members. 6 of them play actively and 4 players are substitutes, players are exchanged continuously. One match consists of two half-times for 15 minutes. The players are equipped with a fin, mask and a snorkel. Players have to manage to shoot the pluck, which is made of lead, into the goal. The weight of the pluck is one and a half kilograms. Three referees lead the game, two in the swimming pool and one outside of it. They communicate with hand signals with each other. The rules allow energetic but against passive and rude game.
The sanction can be free shot and penalty shot. The winner is the team who could shoot more goals.

Phases of the game: each player has 5 lives; the one who is in the goal has 6. The players follow each other one by one. The aim is to shoot goals. Whose shoot is saved will become the next goal keeper. The player who could not save the shoot will loose 1 year form his/her life. The winner is who has more years.
