Achievement in martial arts

To achieve aims within these sports means to focus on building the core values of children, for example, confidence, focus, respect and discipline. Bring able to carry out actions children need enough and proper information. Naturally success means if a series of actions are carried out within the shortest time. The process motions and the ability to assess the situation are called as realisation phase. The mode of how the competitor responses to certain reactions may lead to success. This is a complex process within which emotional, automatic and cognitive regulation function well.

Actually it is feedback that directs and modifies phases (Nagykáldi, 2002).

Sometimes in martial arts we can experience that a competitor is incorrect. Athletes’ competences may reveal this negative behaviour and the sign of this can be athletes’ suitability to task. The uncertainty of certain competences may be the consequences of giving up these sports. When competitors start scolding their partners and the circumstances and finally lose, it can be stated that they lack all the competences that would lead them to win or at least to overcome difficulties, sometimes pains.

Both general and specific competences are needed in martial arts and in this process there are risk factors which should be evaluated by athletes to decide what kind of methods and technique s will support them.

Being high achievers athletes should have proper self assurance. Naturally lack of self-assurance also contributes to failures.

Self-assurance cannot be mixed up with any competence although athletes often define these notions wrongly. Those who are self assured can concentrate on their tasks and aims better throughout the whole competition. The development of competences depends on the proper assessment of actions and situations. Self-assurance can be enhanced by praises of coaches, their technical and professional knowledge.
