Combat/fighting actions

Combat actions have playful features. Without combats each sport would loose its basic essence, for example, to pursue winning (Nagykáldi, 2002).

Nagykáldi’s (2002) theory makes a difference among three groups of combat actions. This study is not aiming to list all the alternatives.

  1. martial arts:  combats between two persons, face to face, direct contact etc. e.g. wrestling

  2. power sports, shot grip, placement, delivery, weight lifting: snatch, clean and jerk

  3. Sports games: fights for a ball, situation awareness etc.
