The standard dances
The standard dances, also known as Ballroom Dances, have been a favored common form of entertainment by dancing pairs of different age groups. Holding each other close offers the dancers an opportunity to become more sensitive to the partner’s dance movements, to their expression of shared feelings. In terms of elegance and musical versatility, standard dances occupy their place in social life, for instance at balls, weddings, or other events. The basic forms of ballroom dance are not overly burdensome, and are easily learned, the music can be familiar to us, and the basic steps comply with people’s natural movement. Compared to dances of Latin America, standard dances do not create excessive demands on the dancers' stamina at beginner’s level.
