Pair exercises with one ball per pair

A)       Exercises done in one place (free exercise basic form ball exercises in pairs)

  • Pairs facing each other stand in straddle, hands in high position, one member of the pair has the ball, trunk-bending forward, and passing and taking the ball (from hand to hand, not by throwing).
  • Pairs with their back to each other stand in straddle; both hold the ball in high position, trunk-bending to the left and right.
  • Pairs with their back to each other stand in straddle; both hold the ball in high position, trunk-circling to the left and right.
  • Pairs with their back to each other sit in straddle, arms in front central position, one member of the pair has the ball, trunk-bending to the left, passing and taking the ball, then trunk-bending to the right, passing and taking the ball.
  • Pairs facing each other sit in straddle, both hold the ball in front central position, one of them does trunk-bending forward, the other one does trunk-bending back, and then the opposite.
  • Pairs facing each other lie in prone position (facing the ground), both hold the ball in high position, trunk-bending backward, then, after a pause, trunk-stretching into prone position.
  • Pairs with their back to each other lie on their back, holding hands in high position, one of them has the ball between his ankles, lift the legs passing and taking the ball.
  • Pairs next to each other lie on their back, holding hands, one of them has the ball in his free hand, lift trunk and legs into floating position, pass and take the ball under the legs, then let the trunk and legs down into lying on the back.
  • Pairs face each other in angular standing, their feet reaching each other, both hold the ball in front central position, lower into squatter position, then rise into angular standing
  • Pairs turn their back to each other in angular standing, joining arms, the ball is between the backs, lower into tailor seat, then rise into angular standing.

B)    Exercises done during movement (advancing between two base lines or the two side lines)

  • Do the exercises listed in 1.2, after each other (first one member of the pair does them, then his partner).
  • Do the exercises listed in 1.2, holding hands, going next to each other and holding hands, first one member of the pair has the ball, then, on the way back, the other one has the ball (e.g. run between the two side lines, holding hands, with the free hand the arm circles forward, first one member of the pair has the ball, then, on the way back, the other one has it).
  • Do the exercises listed in 1.2, going behind each other, changing places on the way back, always the one ahead has the ball.
  • Do the exercises listed in 1.2, going next to each other; after doing the exercises once or twice, pass the ball to the partner (e.g. run, throw up the ball, catch it, then pass the ball to the partner).
  • Run sideways, stepping after, the pairs face each other, having the ball between their chests.
  • Run sideways, stepping after, the pairs turn their backs to each other, having the ball between their backs   
  • The pairs run next to each other, holding hands, pass and catch the ball in front and behind the body.
  • Run sideways, stepping after, the pairs face each other, pass and catch the ball with the hands in the direction, then return the ball with the other hand.
  • The above exercise, but the ball is taken from one hand into the other behind the body before returning it.
  • Run sideways, stepping after, the pairs turn their backs to each other, with trunk turning, pass and catch the ball with both hands or with one hand.
