The color throw ball (100 items)

1-2 years

  1. The pupils stand in a line, at arm's length from each other. The ball is passed from hand to hand, until it reaches the finish line. Increasing the distance and changing ball delivery methods makes the task more difficult. The task can be used as a competition between the groups.
  2. Releasing the ball: (specified throwing mode or by hand)

The area is divided into two equal parts; the players are equally divided in the two areas. In the middle we place a stretched cord or a net, approx. 2 meters high, or we put out a bench.

The exercise: at the start of the game the players of each team stand at the back line having one ball each. On the starting command they have to throw the balls into the opponent's half. Efforts should be made that after the following throw the balls should be thrown back so quickly that not a single ball should remain on the team’s half! In this case, the team scores one point. This is indicated by the referee's whistle. By convention, they can play up to 10 or 15 points. Then the teams swap places. They can also play according to a specified time, e.g. for 5 minutes.

Rules:

After every goal (earned score) we re-start the game. A ball thrown outside the play field means a point for the opponent; also, if it is thrown under the net. The ball caught should always be thrown into the opponent's half from the catch place!

Running forward is not allowed!

  1. Two pupils stand apart at min. 5 meters. The goal is that one competitor should roll all the balls (e.g. 20 pieces) as soon as possible to his/her partner. The same can be carried out increasing distance, reducing the time ...
  2. Two pupils face each other, 3 steps away. They pass the ball to each other in a specified manner. If neither of them dropped the ball, they move one step back and repeat the ball transfer.
  3.  Rolling the ball to any designated target, increasing distance. For example: within a given time, more and more balls need to be rolled into the specified location.
  4. In a relay race exercise, a hula-hoop ring with a ball inside it should be pulled so that the ball will not roll out. If the ball rolls out, it should be placed back and the task should be continued.
  5. We scatter the balls all over the gym and the selected teams compete with each other, each trying to collect more balls in the allotted time. The time and the amount of balls can vary. The collected balls must be continuously transferred to a designated point in the gym.
  6. See the previous task, only one team is on the field. Each team member can collect the balls, ever more at a time. The goal: how many balls they manage to collect in half a minute.
  7. All the balls are on the game field. We choose a color for each team and they can only collect balls of the same color, preferably as soon as possible. Everyone in the team works together, but only one ball can be taken at a time to the designated container.
  8. Target throw: target discs used in the pole vault are placed at different distances, in ascending order according to their numbering. The further disc the pupils hit, the more scores they get.
  9. Targeting a vaulting box from three lines, each at a different distance from the box. Each line has a different point value assigned to it.
  10. Potato planting: it can be used as a relay race. A pupils runs to the first disc cone marker, vaulting box, ring, etc., and then puts down the ball and runs back. The second pupils repeats the same thing, only takes the ball to the second designated point, etc. Similarly, the balls can also be brought back.

  1. Hitting targets: the distance is given; the goal is getting smaller, e.g.
we draw smaller and smaller circles on a large canvas sheet and fix it on a gate or wall bars. The smaller the circle, the more points is worth the result.
  2. The goal is that one competitor should throw in a predetermined way all the balls (eg. 20) to his/her partner, as quickly as possible. The same can be carried out increasing the distance reducing the time.
  3. Hitting targets, individually or in pairs: the target is the whole surface of the basketball backboard. Changing the distance makes the task more difficult. During a specified time the target should be hit more and more often. If they play in a team, when one competitor has completed a throw, the next player can follow.
  4. In a relay race, a hula-hoop ring with a ball inside it should be pulled so that the ball will not roll out. If the ball rolls out, it should be placed back and the task should be continued.
  5. We scatter the balls all over the gym and the selected teams compete with each other, each trying to collect more balls in the allotted time.  The time and the amount of balls can vary. Only one person from a team is on the field and s/he can only catch one ball at each run. The collected balls must be continuously transferred to a designated point in the gym. The next player can start when the ball is in the designated area.
  6. Releasing the ball: (see 1-2 grades)

5-6 years

  1. Hitting targets: the distance is growing. Five balls should hit the target. The farther away you find the designated target, the more points you get. The pupils choose the distance. You can eventually collect more points, even if you get fewer points for closer distance, but have hit the target more often.
  2. Releasing the ball: (see 1-2 grades)
  3. Hitting targets, individual or in pairs: the target is the whole surface of the basketball backboard. Changing the distance makes the task more difficult. During a specified time the target should be hit more and more times. If they play a team competition, when one competitor has completed a throw, the next player can follow.
  4. In a relay race task, a hula-hoop ring with a ball inside it should be pulled into a designated place so that the ball will not roll out. If the ball rolls out, it should be placed back and the task should be continued. The first person will pull one ball, the second two balls, the third three, etc.
  5. Balancing a ball (tennis, badminton, table tennis), carry it on in whatever manner.
  6. See the previous task, but drive the ball with a bat on the ground.
  7. We scatter the balls all over the gym and the selected teams compete with each other, each trying to collect more balls in the allotted time.  The time and the amount of balls can vary. Only one person from a team is on the field and s/he can only collect one ball at each run. The collected balls must be continuously transferred to a designated point in the gym. The next player can start when the ball is in the designated area.
  8.  See the previous exercise but without a time limit, as long as there are balls to use. Who collected the higher number of balls wins.
  9. See the starting position in the previous exercise. The teams are given a color, and they need to find out which two basic colors create it. Only those balls can be individually collected the color of which corresponds to the two colors. Only one person from each team is on the field. The next player can start when the previous competitor has returned.
  10. All teams get the same number of balls but of different colors – in a vaulting box.
The aim is to select the balls which have a given color and transfer them to a designated point.
