Description of the game

The handball court is used as the playing field, or the entire hall that is available. We form the teams and decide which team start the game by casting lots. We put a small box, or perhaps the top of a box, 2 or 3 metres away from both base lines. The two teams take place on their own sides of the playing field, and one of their players stands on the small box of the opposite side, and the game starts by a throw-off. The attacking team try to approach their player on the small box by teamwork, and to pass him the ball, so that he does not need to step off the small box to catch it. If they manage to do this, they score a goal, and the other team take the ball and continue the game with a throw-off. The players standing on the small boxes are substituted after each goal. The winner is the team that score more goals during the playing time.

Rules of the game

  1. We apply the rules of handball (rules of steps, time, dribble, throw-off, throw in, etc.).
  2. In case of a foul, we rule a free throw, which must be executed at the place of the foul (stepping error, catching or ball handling error, defending foul, etc.).
  3. The goal is valid, if the player does not fall off the small box after catching the ball, and it stays in his hand.
  4. The defenders must not touch the one standing on the small box.
