  2. Taking small steps to the sides by crossing the legs.
  3. The previous exercises while rolling straight ahead.
  4. Rolling straight ahead with the legs crossed.
  5. Taking cross-steps continuously while rolling and changing the legs.
  6. Taking small cross-steps to the sides in a way that the toe of the skate turns 30-40° to the direction of the step.
  7. Kick scooting in a medium-diameter circle placing the body weight on the internal leg on the arc, while pushing with the external leg.
  8. Kick scooting as in the previous task, but the external leg should start the push all the way from in front of the internal leg.
  9. Taking small cross-steps to the sides while rolling in a way that the toe of the skate turns 30-40° to the direction of the step, and moving in a circle.
  • Assistance:
    • The assisting person is standing in the centre of the circle, holds the closer hand of the skater and follows the turn. This way, the skater can feel how much they should place their centre of gravity inwards with respect to the arc.
  1. Crossover forward in a greater and greater circle.
  2. Making a figure 8 and crossover at the curves.

Incorrect execution:

  • There are no cross-steps.
  • Feet are at a wrong angle with respect to the curve.
  • Loss of balance, the body weight is not placed in the front and inwards with respect to the arc of the curve.
  • Steps are not continuous.
