III.3.2. Positive physiological impact

This is an aerobic sports activity, so it has several benefits especially in the case of the cardio-respiratory system, similarly to aerobics. The constant coordination of our muscles keeps our nervous system fresh, improves balancing skills and concentration.

In addition, it also has beneficial effects on cellulitis. During bouncing, there are collisions (110-120 per minute) between the thigh, the buttocks and the ball. As a result, the accumulated toxins loosen up and can clear out from the affected areas more quickly.   See: http://www.borgyogyaszat.com/publikaciok.html

Movements on the ball slightly increase and decrease the circular load on cartilage discs, by which the discs are “massaged” and their metabolism works better. This helps prevent their premature aging and maintain the mobility of the spine, as well. In case of more serious vertebral problems, it is strictly forbidden to bounce on the ball. Strength trainings and stretching exercises, however, are permitted. (Antal, 1999)
