III.4. SOCCEROBICS

Soccerobics is coordination conditioning with the ball combining aerobic elements with soccer-typical movements, which can be used in soccer trainings and physical education in school. Movements with the ball to the rhythm of music constitute a training targeted at the coordination of the arm and the leg. The short history of this activity dates back to 1998, when a German teacher and youth soccer coach, Peter Schreiner first combined aerobic elements and the ball as a training instrument. He recognized that this type of aerobics significantly improves physical fitness and coordination as well as muscle strength in the legs. In the meantime, it positively affects hand dexterity and peripheral sight, especially if more balls are used in pair or group exercises.
