II.6.1. Main rules

The game

  • The game starts from a teeing-off area. The ball has to be holed in 6 strokes.
  • The number of strokes the player had to hole the ball must be written on a score-card. If the player fails to hole the ball after 6 strokes 7 points are to be registered. The winner is the player with the lowest score on the total of 18 lanes.
  • The ball that did not pass the line marked at the two sides has to placed on the starting point again. The ball that passed the line has to be hit from the point it rested. Ramped lanes do not have this marking: every stroke has to be taken from the teeing-off area.
  • It is not allowed to step on ramp lanes. All strokes have to be taken from the teeing-off area. It is prohibited to step on the obstacles. A moving ball must not be hit, because that can damage the overlay of the court. Players risking the condition of the course can be excluded.
  • If a ball comes to rest near to the boundary, it can be placed inwards at a 90-degree angle up to 20 cm.
  • If a ball comes to rest near an obstacle either without or after passing it can be placed 50 cm away from the obstacle, parallel to the side line.
  • If a ball leaves the playing area after correctly passing the border line, it is placed at the point where it left the playing area, 20 cm from the boundary line.
  • It is allowed to use different types of balls, but each lane shall be finished with the one that it was started with.
