Push me

Number of participants: the whole class, in pairs

Necessary equipment: tatami or carpets, stopwatch

Skills: balance, skillfulness

The pairs are facing each other, squatting. They put up both their hands in front of their chest so the palms of their hands are touching, elbows slightly bent.

Aim: When the game starts they should try to move the partner out of the balanced position by small pushes (only the palms are touching).

If somebody falls out of the squatting position or touches the ground with any other body part (knees, hands, etc), the other is the winner.

Rules:

  1. It is forbidden to hold on to the hand of the partner.

Variations:

  1. Hopping while squatting. All the rules are the same except the partners keep their balanced position by hopping continuously. If any other body part touches the ground, the partner is the winner. It is advisory to limit the territory of the game.
  2. This game can be played as a group competition game. We limit the boundaries of the territory that may be used, everyone is against everyone. There will be one winner in the end. Important rule: it is forbidden to push somebody from behind.
