Go away!
Number of participants: the whole class, in groups
Necessary equipment: tatami or carpets, stopwatch
Skills: strength, finding a hold, orientation in space, balance, stamina, combat skill
A group enters the designated game area.
Aim: to push, move, lift or put the others out of the designated game area. The last player to stay inside is the winner.
Rules:
- It is forbidden to kick, trip or toss the others.
Variations:
- We may allow a score if someone can take another participant down to the ground within the game area. We may consider that as “out” as well.
- Participants may work together in putting out someone collectively.
- If we have more than one designated game areas we can play a simultaneous game in which each area is numbered. If a player is out from the first game area s/he goes to the second and continues the game. If s/he is out again, s/he goes to the third area. This way we can have three winners.
