Cock on the watch
Number of participants: the whole class, in groups
Necessary equipment: tatami or carpets, stopwatch
Skills: balance, body combat (collisions)
The players line up behind one of two designated parallel lines (there should be a considerable distance between the two lines. The area between the lines will be the game area with one cock. The cock stands on one foot and looks at the others. On the mark the players start hopping on one foot towards the other line.
Aim: the cock tries to prevent the players from getting over the other line into safe territory. If the cock manages to reach that a player puts down his/her other foot and stops hopping, then the other player becomes a cock, too. It continues like this in every round in which the players try to cross the field, until the last player becomes the winner.
Rules:
- If a player puts down the other foot or falls, s/he becomes a cock.
