Wake-up/resting pulse

By regular monitoring it can be decided if athletes have slept enough or not. Thus overtraining can be avoided. If in the mornings heart frequency is faster or pulse rate is higher it is indicated that individuals are still under stress and could not relax. From this it follows that the number of trainings should be decreased. Within competitive sports it is a must to measure and monitor the data of Resting Heart Rate daily. During sleep it is 60-65/min. in case of adults, and athletes’ rate can be 40 – 60/ min.

Average heart rate should be measured before waking up for three consecutive mornings.
