Individuals’ and team athletes’ dietetic behaviour

It is assumed that team sports may not predispose to abnormal dietetic habits and behaviour. It can be explained with better psychic status and the less important appearance of athletes. Literature confirms women athletes’ risks and raises our attention to what extent sports can affect achievement and performance. Filaire et al, (2007) examined five nations’ world class athletes and found that primarily it was individual athletes who had abnormal nutritive habits. Pyle (2003) pointed out that within competitive sports done with high intensity there were only few dietetic disorders among teenagers.
