Combined or mixed circuit training

In the combined or mixed circuit training exercises developing strength and endurance follow each other in a single round, which provides intensive load for participants.

General considerations when designing circuit training:

  • We need a warm up before starting the training circuit.
  • Groups / teams can be permanent or spontaneously formed.
  • When there is a number of teams we need to consider the number of available tools
  • We should never leave out stretching-relaxing at the end of the training circuit, because our muscles have shortened during the movement. If this is not done, we will become more vulnerable, muscle flexibility we be reduced and the range of movements can narrow down.

Let us not overdo the use of circuit training, it will make pupils bored!
