Turning point
If you see this sign, be very attentive. This is an area where big ships turn round. Small boats can be obstacles.
No turn
Restricted pass, or width of waterway (in metres)
One way route
This rule has to be kept by water tourists as well.
Special caution
It signals danger.
Stop at 1000 m
Damming plant
It can be approached at a distance marked on the board. (e.g. 300 m)
No passing
It is a very important board. It can be found above pontoon bridges, for example above the one in Csongrád.
No passing through the designated area.
This board can be found near bridges. The waterways should be followed, the board might signal danger.
Sport boats are allowed.
It signals pontoon bridges where boats are allowed to pass one after the other considering the currents. The distance between the boats is 10-15 m. An example: the pontoon bridge at Csongrád.
No sport boats are allowed.
End of prohibition or of one-way traffic.
Free ferry boat at 1.500 m
Non-free ferry boat
When the ferry is stranded by the bank it is possible to pass on the opposite side. If the ferry boat is in motion it is absolutely forbidden to cross in front of it.! At a distance of 200-300 m from the ferry rowing should be stopped until the ferry goes into the port on the other side. (Examples include the ferries at Mindszent and Tápé).
