VI.1. On tourism, briefly
Tourism includes the free movement of people outside their places of work and places of residence. The notion of tourism also includes services related to the above travels. WTO, Hága 1989. (Lengyel, 2004)
Márton Lengyel (2004) intends to create a more modern definition. In his idea tourism goes beyond people’s everyday lifestyle and social commitments like having a job and bringing up children. Thus tourism denotes travels with different aims, possibilities and length of time. Tourism serves the above enlisted needs and brings about the system of financial, technical, and organizational conditions and the system of related services. Two forms of tourism can be distinguished, i.e. professional tourism and leisure time tourism. This latter type means free time activities done during one’s free time outside his place of residence. The activities are mostly determined by the financial constraints and the interests of the given person. Professional (business) tourism means travels related to one’s job, professional life and it denotes the activities done during those travels. (Lengyel, 2004)
