VI.1.7. After-camp activities
- Final cleaning, checking, maintenance and/or repair of own, rented or borrowed equipment. Return rented and borrowed equipment to owner.
- Writing and submitting report, closing document, statistics for the organizing club or institution and sponsors.
Points to consider include for example the name of the organizer, the name of the camp leader, staff members, venue, time, number and age of participants, main activities, programs and achievements.
On the basis of a questionnaire it is advisable to do a statistical analysis which gives an overview of the participants’ opinion, level of satisfaction, quality of food and programs etc. It is a feedback for the organizers what needs to be changed next time.
It is also important to mention whether or not the programs were organized as they had been planned. If there were changes it is advisable to explain. Were there any emergencies? The financial report needs to be prepared, too; invoices have to be attached. In case there was overpayment, it needs to be paid back. The local environment, the camp needs to be evaluated. The evaluation can be a starting point when planning a similar camp in the future.
- If the possibility arises it is advisable to organize a personal account of experiences and illustrate it with videos and many photos. Guests, sponsors should be invited. It is also a good idea to make these photos/films available on a webpage or in the social media. An article can also be written and published in a local, regional or national paper.

Reports can be broadcast on cable television or the local radio.
Finally, it is also very important to write and send thank you letters to all our supporters and sponsors. These letters also serve the purpose of keeping in touch in the future, too.
