VI.1.5.2. Teachers’ in-camp tasks

It is necessary to appoint a responsible person for the following tasks:

  • Camp leader: the person of the camp leader is given if there is one person who does all organizational work from the very beginning. Otherwise, if the camp is organized by a local government, a company, a foundation, or some other organization, then the suitable person is chosen via an application procedure. If there are several organizers from the very beginning, then they can choose the most suitable person for the job from among themselves.
  • Technician: this person is especially needed if the camp has to be built from scratch. The necessary equipment included excavators, wires, glue, hammer, saw etc. Kitchen equipment: cauldron, plates, cutlery, cooking equipment, safety and lighting equipment, repair tools, musical devices, and equipment necessary for the programs.
  • Financial manager: the task of this person is to collect money, keep and file invoices, arrange payments. Costs and expenditures include participation fees, costs of meals, travel costs etc.
  • Program manager: they are those teachers who supervise those plays and games which are part of the overall program.
  • Food administrator: It is a necessity to have a food administrator in camps where the daily meals are prepared on site.
  • Health administrator: it is a very useful job in camps where the conditions are nomadic and it is difficult or time consuming to have access to official medical care.
