I.5. Movement – body language as means of communication and sources of joy

It can be observed that the manifestations of our cognitive and emotional reactions appear through somatic signals.  These areas include work, art, or sports. What is more, reponses may be manifested at the level of health conditions, performance, or, depression, reduced performance or illness.

If our future is at stake, it is of utmost importance how these qualities are inherited and what qualities and cultural values they would be able to learn from us.

In my opinion those practices which degenerate the reproductive achievements of the majority of individuals cannot be pursued for much longer.

The differentiation of genetic culture – our genetic codes – determine the reproductive processes, consequently, it is of utmost importance what genetic material is transferred from generation to generation. Adaptation (Wikipedia) is a quaity of living beings which makes it posible for them to use their own anatomical structures, physiological processes and behavioral patterns to increase their genetic suitability when competing with their rivals.

Our predecessors had worked very hard to formulate a lifestyle, which was based on the right proportion between work, thinking, physical activity, feeding and relaxing, If this harmony is broken , it can result in the deterioration of health, or, the loss of learning or working abilities.

Recreation is actually as old as mankind, but the concept itself underwent significant changes, due to the division of work or the emergence of industrialization  (industrial,. technological and IT revvolutions). In addition to the advantages these developments also had their drawbacks. Transport and work was increasingly done with the help of machines. In many capitalist countries a certain kind of sports culture could develop, and it was backed by the individual’s responsibility. True, in many western countries health care services and medicines are very expensive and this feature also contributed to the growing significance of sports and recreation.
