VII.12. Malnutrition

The establishment of appropriate nutritional habits is very important for the normal, physiological function of the body. Two extreme examples of the results of incorrect nutritional habits are anorexia nervosa (AN) and bulimia nervosa (BN).

The term anorexis (lack of desire) originated from fasting saints in the 13th century, while the word boülimosz (boüsz - bullock; limos - hunger), indicating an increased appetite, originated from Hippocrates.
