(GIP is also called Glu-dependent insulinotropic peptide.)

Its production is stimulated by the release of carbohydrate and fat in the intestine.

It is released from the duodenum and jejunum.

Its effects gastric acid secretion ↓,

            insulin release ↑,

            gastric motility ↓.
