VII.17. Stress

Various stress factors have effects on the body. The nervous system reacts with increased sensitivity and activity to the environmental and lifestyle effects. Stress is a subjective status, which varies individually. However, there are definite stress factors. A high BP or factors that damage the endothelium or the long-lasting turbulent flow in vessels are stress factors for the cardiovascular system. An important function of the body is the protection against reactive oxygen and nitrogen species.
