Offside: An offside situation is not an offence in itself. It is judged as an offside if, in the referee’s view, the player who is actively involved in an attack receives the ball from his team member in a way that, at the moment of the pass, he is closer to the opponent's goal than the ball and the second-last defender. It is important to note that the goalkeeper also counts as a defender. Offside can occur only if the offensive player is on the opponent’s half of the field.

The player is not offside:  if he is on his own half of the field; if he is on a level with the second-last opponent (plus the goalkeeper); if he is on a level with the last two opponents; if the player receives the ball directly from a goal kick, a throw-in or a  corner kick. In case the ball is received from the opponent. In case he stays behind the line of the ball.

The cases applying to field players: if he plays dangerously; if he obstructs the opponent’s movement; if he obstructs the goalkeeper in getting rid of the ball that he holds in his hand; if his conduct is unsportsmanlike; in case of offside.

Throw-in: the player must face the playing field; both feet must touch either the touch line or the ground outside the playing field; both hands must be used, and the ball must be thrown in, moving it ahead, behind and above the head. The throwing player must not touch the ball again until it touches another player.
