Passes

By the age of 12, the players already have to be able to apply the various types of passes on ground and bent passes. The most important is to show the appropriate shooting surface (inside, outside, inside toe, toe, outside toe). The most difficult may be to differentiate the inside and the full toe shots, and to perform them with perfect technique. For anatomical and physiological reasons, the instruction of bent passes starts usually at the age of 10 to 11 years. With appropriate preparatory and introductory exercises (e.g. in traverse sitting), the perfect performance can be enhanced effectively. This process may be prolonged physically with children who mature later. Particularly important elements of the training are those coordination exercises with ball that are performed in various shapes (rhombus, quadrangle, triangle and the large coordinations, etc.).
