Suggested steps of the training of beginning basketball players

  1. Catching the ball, dribble (the ball).
  2. Stop and start without the ball.
  3. Pivoting (without the ball).
  4. Linear (quick) dribble.
  5. Getting the rebound and free ball, stop with the ball.
  6. Ready to receive the ball – reception of the ball – pass (passes).
  7. Set shot (throw/ shot from a stationery position).
  8. Start, stop with the ball.
  9. Pivoting with the ball.
  10. Dribble with changing direction and rhythm.
  11. Layup shot, from movement.

The rule of the instruction and combination of the technical elements:

  1. The isolated instruction of the given element.
  2. The connection of the new element to another element learnt before.
  3. The connection of several technical elements that have already been learnt, the instruction of movement lines.
