Aligning to the ball

Aligning to the ball there is always a change in position, which is sufficiently quick and produces a correct technical performance, the pass of the ball or the reception itself. The extent of alignment is determined by the speed of the ball and its distance from the student. When aligning to the ball, the position must be facing the ball, and the student must always try to keep contact with the ground. A major point is that students do not hop, as they can adequately follow the direction changes of the ball only this way.

The exercises are available at the link below.

Exercises:

  • Let the ball tossed high overhead bounce, then position below the bouncing ball and catch it.
  • Catch the ball tossed high overhead, without a bounce, reaching up for it with both hands.
  • 360-degre turn below the ball tossed overhead, and then catching the ball with both hands.
  • In pairs, run for the ball tossed high by the partner, squat before contacting the ball, and then catch the ball with both hands.
  • In pairs, run for the ball thrown high out by the partner, position below the ball coming in the falling trajectory, then catch the ball with both hands.
  • In pairs, return the ball tossed for each other to the partner by head.
