Metaphysics

Abstract

A kurzus két alapvető metafizikai témára koncentrál. Egyfelől ismerteti az individuális dolog lételméleti konstitúciójának kortárs megközelítéseit és rámutat ezek történeti előképeire. Másfelől a klasszikus görög filozófia abszolútim-koncepcióit tárgyalja a kurzus, Parmenidésztől Plótinoszig és Dionüsziosz Areopagitészig. A kurzus ezek által tisztázza a metafizika olyan alapvető fogalmait, mint individualitás, sajátosságok, fajták, azonosság stb.

English abstract

There are two basic metaphysical themes at the core of the course. First, the course concentrates on contemporary approaches concerning the ontological constitution of individual entities, while shedding light on historical antecedents of the theories in question. On the other hand, the course discusses the conceptions of Absolute in classical Greek philosophy from Parmenides to Plotinus and Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite. Along these themes, the course clarifies basic metaphysical concepts, such as individuality, properties, kinds, identity etc.
