Shiatsu
Shiatsu is a traditional Japanese therapy and it has become extremely popular both in Europe and in Northern America. Millions of patients use shiatsu treatments on a regular basis and shiatsu therapists are trained all over the world. What is the secret of shiatsu therapy? Why is it so efficient?
The shiatsu practitioners do not use standard movements in this kind of therapy but they choose refined movements from the rich shiatsu repertory, movements, which are the best for the given patient. The personality of the therapist is very important, too, from the point of view of therapeutic efficiency.
The work of a shiatsu practritioner involves a neverending process of self-knowledge and self-improvement. Fast-paced weekend training programmes are not enough to become an efficient practitioner. They need to complete special training programmes which focus on theoretical knowledge and practical skills as well.
