Equipment based on the buoyancy of water

These are pieces of equipment that float in water. They are used with vertical movements, the same way weights are lifted in land-based exercises.  It is possible to move all those muscles in water, which, due to gravitation, are static in land-based movements. When exercising in water its buoyancy needs to be overcome.

Special belt:

It is made from sponge-like material and its aim is to help those who cannot swim. Consequently, swim skills are not necessary to do aquafitness exercises. In addtion, the belt helps to hold the trunk straight. It is not used in swim teaching and it does not have a life saving function either.

Hand weights:

They are made from polifoam, thus they tend to lift the arms, so the weights continuously need to be pushed downward. When not in water the weights are lightweight, but when being in water, they are, on the contrary, difficult to hold underwater.

Ankle weights:

Their effect and role are similar to those of hand weights.

Water noodles:

They are made from polifoam and they are used in many different types of exercises. The noodles are flexible and they are widely used  aquafitness exercises as well as in swim teaching.

Balls: These soft balls are made from specific material and it is possible to grab them with one hand They are used for stretching and muscle building.
