4. 2 SPEAQ
Read the text below about the project, identify what steps it consisted of and fill in the following grid.
The acronym SPEAQ is the short name for the project ’Sharing practice in Enhancing and Assuring Quality ’. The aim of this two-year multilateral project was to develop a more personalized set of standards, procedures and guidelines on quality assurance. The participants were nine European universities, and, interestingly, the European Students Union, an international student organization. First there were joint project activities, then, in the second year. each project participant worked on a local project. In
As next step students were asked to interview their teachers about quality. Eventually participating students summarized interview outcomes, drew conclusions, wrote reports and were asked to come up with recommendations on the basis of their own findings. During project work students learnt how to do project-related documentation and improved their relevant communication skills. In addition, they learnt how to build a team and how to work effectively as a team.
