Comparative constitutional law and governance theory
Abstract
Az alkotmányjogi alapfogalmak megértése nélkülözhetetlen a nemzetközi kapcsolatok terén, mivel a nemzetközi szervezetek és intézmények a hagyományos nemzeti alkotmányjogi fogalmakon alapulnak. A kurzus célja, hogy fejlessze az analitikai eszköztárát a hallgatóknak, amelynek segítségével a későbbiekben meg tudnak felelni olyan kihívásoknak, mint például az összehasonlító elemzése a kormányformáknak, az állam alapvető működési kérdései, különböző állami intézmények létrehozatala, valamint az alapvető jogok védelme.
English abstract
Understanding key concepts of constitutional law and governance is key for the mastery of any legal skills to be applied in the field of international relations. This is because international organizations and instruments build upon traditional notions of sovereignty and the constitutional and legal orders of nation-states. The course intends to offer the students such analytical and synthetic skills, which will then they be able to use in institution-building or such other projects that will require in-depth knowledge of the comparative study of forms of government, of the basic functions and motivational forces of a state, of a constitution, of creating institutions to exercise public and of establishing organs of oversight, as well as of protecting fundamental human rights.
